Tickets are now on sale for Christian Youth Theater - North Idaho's (CYT-NI) spring musical, Great American Tall Tales. This production which has over 100 local school age children between the cast and crew, opens tonight, May 17 at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Theater, 1765 W.Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene, ID. All of the children are currently taking theater arts classes during CYT's spring session of their after-school theater arts education program.
When several young kids stumble into a dusty exhibit during a museum field trip, their adventure comes to life. Together they meet the beloved characters of American folklore like Annie Oakley, Davy Crocket, Pecos Bill, Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, John Henry and more.
Through story, dance and song, they learn that history is alive and vibrant while discovering that sometimes fact and fiction work together to create unforgettable legends.
