Boise Contemporary Theater's Children's Reading Series, BCT presents AIR HEART, written by BCT's Education Director Dwayne Blackaller.

The play starts with a CRASH! And with that, Sonny and Kate tumble through the roof of an old farmhouse and into a dusty attic. Trapped. But when an old radio crackles to life with a distress call from halfway around the world and out of time, the kids find themselves embroiled in a high flying mystery with a legendary aviator named Amelia. Together they learn that sometimes the only way out is up.

The play will be staged with shadow puppets and special sequences where the audience will don 3D glasses to see shadows spring to life in three dimensions. In addition, the Boise School of Rock has composed and recorded a song especially for the play.

After the play's premiere at BCT, AIR HEART will go on the road as part of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival's Idaho Theater for Youth Tour to elementary schools throughout the state.

You can see the play on the BCT stage, located at 9th and Fulton in Downtown Boise on December 16 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available online www.BCTheater.org or by calling the BCT box office at 208-331-9224 x. 205. Tickets are $8 for children (4-18 yrs) and $12 for adults.

Founded in 1997, BCT creates, produces, and presents vibrant and dynamic professional theater that illuminates enduring themes while exploring contemporary issues and ideas.
