You do not have to have gone to Catholic school to enjoy Knock 'Em Dead Dinner Theatre's (KED) production of NUNSENSE. (However, if you did attend... you may enjoy it just that much more.) If however, you do not like puns... well, I still think the humor of this script can pull you in, too.

If you want a light hearted, fast hitting night of entertainment, sprinkled with songs - then you need to come and see NUNSENSE. KED is still a "homeless" theatre company, but in the meantime, they have teamed up with AEN Playhouse to be able to continue to offer their great catered meals and use the great actors at their disposal.

The talent in this production is easily spotted and appreciated. I have read scripts like this and seen

productions where I do not see the characters that were written. This production does not have that problem. All of the nuns have pleasant voices, some stronger than others- but all are nice to listen to. The characters are quickly developed, you know exactly who each nun is - and when they reveal what they wanted to be before they "got the call", it all falls into place.

This is a production where the set, lighting, and sound cues are fairly simple. But that does not take away from the production. I thought it was very interesting as well that the cast memebers mingle with the audience, pre-show and during intermission. I love it when theatre breaks from tradition at times.

I think this production is a cute, family friendly (there are a few jokes that your child may ask, why is that funny) production that is sure to make your night.
