The Tubes Glow in the Dark at Montevallo Main Street Players

The Tubes Glow in the Dark will include two classic radio dramas, Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring and transcribed for radio by B.J. George and Murder Castle by Arch Oboler.

Arsenic and Old Lace was originally produced for radio by the Lady Esther Screen Actors Guild on November 25, 1946. A dark comedy, the radio play focuses on Mortimer Brewster while he tries to cope with his homicidal aunts and deranged brother as Mortimer’s wedding date draws near.

An original radio drama, Murder Castle first aired on the series Lights Out on February 16, 1938. The broadcast involves a professional hit man who lures his victims to his multi-room home and buries them in freshly poured concrete floors.

Directed by Steve Gilbert, The Tubes Glow in the Dark is a Halloween treat for the entire family.
