If you've ever been in a romantic relationship - or ever wanted to be in or get out of one - you will find something to love about CAST's upcoming production, I LOVE YOU YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE!

From the first awkward kiss to that unbearable kiss goodbye, the hilarious musical comedy attempts to answer some of life’s most infuriating questions: “What do women really want?”, “What are men really thinking?” and “Why, when we find the partner of our dreams, do we spend the rest of our lives trying to change them?”

The musical by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts just finished its decade-plus original run in New York. When it closed on July 27, the musical revue had played a total of 20 previews and 5,003 regular performances, making it the second longest-running musical in Off-Broadway history following THE FANTASTICKS. Producers had also tallied a total of 61 marriage proposals by audience members to their prospective mates at the show’s productions.

It's subject matter of love won and lost, set to a comedic musical beat, is so universal that I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, has been translated into 12 different languages and has played in theatres across the world.

CAST's production of the show marks the first time the musical comedy has played in the greater Calhoun County, Alabama area, and its premiere will sure to be a memorable one.

The performers are a mix of CAST newcomers and veterans; Angie Robinson of White Plains, Steve Simmons of Jacksonville, Heather Garlick (last seen in BOOMERS) of Anniston, and Cody Harrell, (SOUND OF MUSIC) of Oxford and Jacksonville.

The show is co-directed by CAST Artistic Director Kimberley Dobbs and Assistant Drama Professor Eric Traynor of Jacksonville State University.
