Theatre Tuscaloosa is hosting the Alabama Conference of Theatre's annual Alabama Community Theatre Festival (ACTFest) November 10 & 11, 2017 in the Bean-Brown Theatre at Shelton State Community College. On Saturday, November 11, four theatre companies will present plays of their choosing as part of the festival. Participating companies include the Actor's Charitable Theatre (Tuscaloosa) performing a selection from "Disaster!," Auburn Area Community Theatre performing "Motherhood Out Loud," South City Theatre (Pelham) performing a cutting of "Doubt, A Parable," and Theatre Tuscaloosa performing "The End of a Line." Performances are scheduled in two blocks. During Block A (1pm-4pm), "Disaster!" and "Motherhood Out Loud" will perform. During Block B (5pm-8pm), "Doubt, A Parable" and "The End of a Line" will perform. A public meeting of the Alabama Conference of Theatre and an awards ceremony will follow at 8:30 p.m. Tickets to individual performance blocks are $10, or both may be purchased together for $15. Tickets may be purchased by phone, online, or at the door.
