This Holiday Season, the Whole Backstage Theatre of Guntersville is pleased to present "White Christmas". "Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace (Joe Whitaker of Huntsville, AL) and Phil Davis (Will Casey of Birmingham/formerly of Albertville, AL) have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters (Melissa Blackburn and Sharon Glenn both of Guntersville, AL) en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander (Phil Kelley of Guntersville, AL)." – Rogers and Hammerstein website for "White Christmas."

The music, combined with the heartwarming story, dazzling costumes and spectacular dance numbers make this a holiday experience appropriate for all ages. Some of the most memorable songs from the show include "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep", "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm", and of course the legendary song, "White Christmas". Bing Crosby's version is the best selling record in history selling over 100 million copies to date. AWARDS: 2009 Tony Awards(two nominations)and 2009 Drama Desk Awards(six nominations).

Evening Performances begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Matinee Performances begin at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $16 each for Adults and $14 each for Students and Seniors. Patron ticket sales begin October 22nd and General Public tickets will go on sale November 5, 2012. Tickets may now be purchased online for your convenience.
