"How much can a man love God?" This Biblical interpretation will leave you laughing all the way home." Synopsis: Successful Long Island businessman Joe Benjamin is a modern-day Job ( For those who skipped Sunday school that week, Job was one of God's favorite humans, a wealthy and faithful man. One day the devil made God a bet that, if all his good fortune was taken away, Job would eventually turn against him. God took the bet and what came next was a miserable time for old Job but a grand time (for audiences) due to the genius of Neil Simon.) Job lives with a high-maintenance wife, ungrateful children, and wisecracking household help. Just when it seems it couldn't get any worse, he is visited by Sidney Lipton AKA (a messenger from God) with a mission: test Joe's faith and report back to "the Boss." The jokes and tests of faith fly fast and furious as Neil Simon spins a contemporary version of the Biblical Job like no other in this hilarious comedy. Simon poses some huge questions about life, but never loses his wonderful sense of humor.
