Red Mountain Theatre Company is partnering with Children's of Alabama to present Songs of Hope: An Evening with David Friedman on Wednesday, February 20, at the RMTC Cabaret Theatre (301 19th Street North).
This one-night-only benefit concert will feature composer David Friedman, along with the RMTC Youth Programs, and proceeds will go to The Amelia Center, a department and community outreach of Children's of Alabama.
Tickets are $50 (per person) and include complimentary hors d'oeuvres by Iz Catering and a cash bar beginning at 6:30 PM, with the concert starting at 7:30 PM.
Broadway musical director and Disney composer David Friedman's credits as a conductor and vocal arranger include Disney movie classics like Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Aladdin, as well as its sequel, Aladdin: Prince of Thieves. David's songs have also been sung and recorded by stars like Diana Ross ("Your Love" - Quadruple Platinum), Barry Manilow ("We Live on Borrowed Time" and "You're There") Petula Clark, Laura Branigan, Kathie Lee Gifford, Jason Alexander, Lucie Arnaz, Laurie Beechman, Lainie Kazan and Leslie Uggams.
