Merrimack Hall is presents its Fourth Annual Evening of Dance, a weekend of dance events showcasing performance and choreography talent from across North Alabama.
Robert Hoffman is the artist this year. Robert made his acting debut in 2003, on an episode of the television series American Dreams. As a dancer, he has had roles as a dancer in several films, including From Justin to Kelly, She's the Man, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, Coach Carter and You Got Served, for which he shared an American Choreographer Award. Rob has worked as a dancer with Christina Aguilera, Usher, Mya, Marilyn Manson and Ricky Martin, serving as his dance double in a music video. He was also featured in MTV's sketch comedy showWild 'n Out.
In 2008, he starred in the film Step Up 2 the Streets as Chase Collins, alongside Briana Evigan, for which they received a 2008 MTV Movie Award for "Best Kiss." In 2009, he guest starred in the ABC Family show "Greek." Recently, Rob appeared in the 2009 movie Aliens in the Attic as Rickey with Ashley Tisdale.
Robert will perform a special hip-hop piece at both Evening of Dance performances, featuring a group of local dancers he handpicked.
