Merrimack Hall proudly presents our first-ever author series, featuring three diverse authors with backgrounds ranging from screenwriting to costume design to journalism. Each author will appear in an "Evening With," and will also teach a workshop the following day, with limited spaces available.

Jerry Stahl: Author of the critically acclaimed memoir Permanent Midnight, about his experience working as a screenwriter in Hollywood while also addicted to heroin. His memoir was subsequently made into a film starring Ben Stiller and Elizabeth Hurley.

Deborah Landis: Academy Award-winning costume designer who has worked on films including Animal House, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Coming to America, and many more. She is the author of Dressed: A Century of Hollywood Costume Design.

Mary Kay Andrews: New York Times bestselling fiction author of Deep Dish and The Fixer Upper, among others. She formerly worked as a journalist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution where she covered the trial that was later depicted in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
