Red Mountain Theatre Company's (RMTC) Youth Series brings the American classic Little Women to life tonight, April 4-7, 2013, at the RMTC Cabaret Theatre (301 19th Street North).
Based on Louisa May Alcott's own family experiences, and her now-famous novel, Little Women follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy as they grow up in Civil War America. The beloved story of the March sisters is a timeless one, with issues as relevant today as when the story was originally written. Now, this wonderful narrative has been brought to life as an exhilarating new musical filled with laughter, tears and a powerful score of uplifting music that soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope -- the sounds of a young America finding its voice. The women may be small, but the drama will be huge.
RMTC's Little Women stars Nicole Lamb, Jocelyn Lonquist, Abigail Ross Barlow and Kristen Bowden Sharp, along with Dianne Mooney as "Aunt March," Natalie Valentine as "Marmee" and Jesse Bates as "Mr. Laurence." Click here to see a full cast list.
Show times are Thursday-Sunday, 7:30 PM, and Saturday-Sunday, 2:00 PM. Tickets are $20 (student rates are available) and can be purchased by calling 205-324-2424 or visiting www.redmountaintheatre.org. *Please note: Little Women is a family-friendly production and appropriate for all ages (G).
