Twenty-two acts from around North Alabama will compete in the 2010 TAKE THE STAGE amateur talent competition to be held June 4, 5, and 6 at the Whole Backstage Theater on Rayburn Avenue in Guntersville. The contestants will each compete in one of two preliminary rounds on June 4 and 5, and will be scored by a panel of judges which will include representatives of education, business, politics, and the entertainment industry. The top ten scoring acts from the preliminary rounds will advance to the final round on Sunday, June 6 to vie for first, second and third place cash and prizes totaling at least $1,000.

General admission tickets are $12 per person for each preliminary round, and $15 each for the finals on Sunday, June 6. All tickets are at the door - no reservations or advance sales.

The 2010 TAKE THE STAGE talent competition is a fundraising event for the Whole Backstage Theater. For additional information contact Rich Resler, 256-572-9558, or KelleyBrooke Brown, 256-558-6008, or email to takethestage@wholebackstage.com, or visit www.wholebackstage.com.
