Three years after the success as deserved 'Standing At The Sky's Edge', Richard Hawley is back with his eighth studio album 'Hollow Meadows' which will be released next month.
Born in 1967, from a family of musicians, Richard is cradled in his childhood by the melodies of Sinatra, Presley and Scott Walker. Pretty good on guitar, he went on tour with his father at the age of 14. He then played in a string of groups, but it is with Pulp, alongside his friend Steve Mackey high school and in the company of the incomparable Jarvis Cocker, Richard really made known to the medium. In 2001, encouraged by Jarvis, he began a solo career. His crooner voice and guitar skills have earned him an esteem success of the trade press, Hawley concatenating disks with clockwork including the magnificent "Coles Corner" for which he won an appointment to the famous Mercury Prize in 2005 or even the grandiose "Truelove's Gutter" in 2009. The public in turn finally seduced by her husky voice and sweet at once, and his melodies filled with emotions, transcended by the sound of his guitar twangy. The real consecration finally arrives with the surprising and dazzling "Standing at the Sky's Edge," an amazing psychedelic getaway and also his biggest commercial success to date.
