Re:Zeitung at La Monnaie

In 2008 Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker created Zeitung with the pianist Alain Franco, based on compositions by Bach, Webern and Schoenberg. A fascinating show, which once again bore witness to her unique talent at bringing movement to meet music with obvious and overwhelming enjoyment. In 2013 PARTS Foundation – an initiative of the PARTS school, founded by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, in association with her Rosas company – will set up its first professional project aimed at young talent from this school. It is called Re:Zeitung, a revival of the original, memorable work danced this time by a new generation of dancers; six of them, from Brazil, France, Morocco and Tunisia, who are already known thanks to their participation in the first two productions of danceXmusic. Of the four performances scheduled for this world premiere, three will be earmarked for a young audience, in order to give them a chance to discover contemporary dance.
