We knew Lou as actress and international model, but it is here, under any other day that we discover the daughter of Jacques Doillon and Jane Birkin. A debut Ep "I.C.U." was released last spring and had revealed the young French woman as a great singer-songwriter. Directed and arranged by Etienne Daho, his album "Places" is written as an autobiographical novel loaded sometimes soul, sometimes folk-acoustic laments. Unlike her mother or sister (Charlotte Gainsbourg), Lou Doillon stamp fits rather in the register of the folk-blues singers pierced with an undeniable influence to Patti Smith.
