"Nobody understands the pain of others and no one understands the joy of others! Always believed closer and we do that walk side by side"noted Franz Schubert in his diary in 1824. This leitmotif of inexaucee harmony resonates three years later in the cycle of Impromptus that he composed for piano - short pieces of free invoice which are among the most beautiful works written in the last creative phase of his life. By choosing four of these pieces for a creation, the choreographer Sasha Waltz addressed for the first time a work from the classical repertoire. His expressive language are given way to pure dance, the body assemble into virtuoso intimate duets, disperse groups dynamic, inspired sometimes by the phrase of music, sometimes by his spirit: by the melancholy to joy... Ten years later, the magic of Impromptus is still there.
