Over the past decade, Elvis Costello (one of the many pseudonyms Declan Patrick MacManus, like "Napoleon Dynamite"), occurred in Belgium with The Sugarcanes, The Allen Toussaint Band, Steve Nieve, The Imposters and even the Attractions.
But his solo concerts can be counted on the fingers of one hand. On 1 and 2 July 1989, he was silence reign in the public (52 000 people each time) and Torhout Werchter. Later, he was nailed to their chairs spectators room Queen Elizabeth (2011) and Cirque Royal (2012).
All those who were able to attend his last concert in Brussels can attest: Elvis Costello has not lost its power of persuasion. Beauty, humor and emotion were to rendezvous at this wonderful evening (31 songs in 2 hours and 37 minutes) dedicated - as he announced at the end - his late father.
