Ali & Nous Sommes Pareils at Theatre National

Ali: This duo reunites Mathurin Bolze and Hedi Thabet around four crutches, a lamp, a chair and a piece of underground Rebetiko.

A short play, shaped in haste, echoing the need to be together, on stage and in life. A few densely accurate minutes about otherness

Nous sommes pareils à ces crapauds ... borrows its title from René Char: A woman and two men go through the symbolism of marriage like so many changes of costume. Opposite them, a group of four Greek and Tunisian musicians marries the classical period of Greek Rebetiko with the popular Tunisian repertoire of Cheikh El Afrit.
