Three years after the success of their debut 'Boys & Girls' Brittany Howard and Alabama Shakes are back with a second album entitled 'Sound & Color'.
Mock home in Athens, Alabama, and recorded in Nashville, this new achievement marks a necessary evolution. It overcomes the vintage rock in which the press too easily cataloged training. Steeped in creativity, Alabama Shakes explore new sounds without any complex. Their new songs are watered funk, R'n'B, soul, blues, African music and everything works perfectly. Just like their first single 'Future People' which offers a low shrill, funky drums and deliciously soulful guitars, the band takes us again in an exciting world where the voice unconventional allies with Brittany passion instrument.
Three years of touring helped them hone their stage attitude while keeping the energy of their debut. Whether in bars or in front of 80,000 people, the quartet gives the maximum every time. He will prove it again this year in Werchter (June 28) before returning to the room as part of a European tour that will stop at the Cirque Royal Tuesday, November 10!
