Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt to Perform in MADAME PYLINSKA ET LE SECRET DE CHOPIN

After the successful tour of Mr Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran, the play that he performed on stage for 4 years, Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt is back with a show that combines music and the dramatic arts, his two great passions. Both educational and intimate, this show confirms the author's close bond with the virtuoso Nicolas Stavy, with whom he had already created "The Bizet Mystery" at the Paris Opera.

As one of the most read and most performed French-speaking writers in the world, Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt needs no introduction. A member of the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium and of the Jury of the Goncourt, this Philosophy graduate with a passion for Diderot has brought some of the greatest French actors together in his works: Enigma Variations with Alain Delon and Francis Huster, The Libertine with Bernard Giraudeau, Frederick or the Crime Boulevard with Jean-Paul Belmondo, Mr Ibrahim and the Flowers of the Koran with Bruno Abraham-Kremer, The Gospel According to Pilate with Jacques Weber, Sentimental Tectonics with Clémentine Célarié and Tchéky Kario and Einstein's Betrayal with Francis Huster and Jean-Claude Dreyfus.

He is also a great music aficionado and this is reflected in his writing, he is the author of My Life with Mozart, When I Think that Beethoven is Dead when so Many Morons are Alive and The Carnival of the Animals. This monologue written and performed by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, is a fresh illustration of this incredible passion, dedicated on this occasion to Chopin's body of work. He brings several characters to life and explores the composer's oeuvre, jumping from famous plays to rarer works.
