A celebration of the enduring influence of the Black Arts Movement (BAM) on civil rights, revolutionary art, and American society at large. Join us on this enlightening retrospective at Morgan State University.

March 7th: Community Arts Panel: Revisiting the Black Arts Movement (BAM) and the Black Aesthetic- Join this lively panel discussion featuring visual and performing artists and educators from all backgrounds, offering a unique opportunity to delve into the movement's roots and its impact on contemporary art, society, and humanity. You will not only gain a deeper understanding of the Black Arts Movement but also have the chance to engage with leading figures in the field. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of this significant celebration of the BAM's legacy

March 8th :Open Art: 60 years After the Black Arts movement- Dive into the vibrant world of the Black Arts Movement with us! Celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the beginning of this influential movement in a mesmerizing performance event, where students and faculty come together to showcase their artistic talents.

March 9th: (BAM)! The Black Arts Movement - Off the Page/On the Stage- Experience the profoundly powerful poetry, plays, and dramatic literature that defined the Black Arts Movement - all performed by an ensemble of talented students from across multiple academic disciplines.
