Bach, Handel, and Beloved Carols! at First Evangelical Lutheran Church

A celebratory concert of Holiday music that  the whole family can enjoy, the program includes the exuberant Bach Christmas Oratorio Part V: Ehre sei dir, Gott, gesungen (Praise be sung by you, God), a cheerful and optimistic work featuring two oboe d’amores—one of Bach’s favorite instruments. Join in singing festive arrangements of beloved Christmas Carols:  O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Once In Royal David’s City. Revel in favorite arias from Messiah, including Comfort Ye and Rejoice! Speaking of Messiah, Maestro Dimmock commented “The more than 100 performances I have conducted of Messiah have taught me that Handel’s greatest masterpiece contains innumerable treasures which continue to reveal themselves every time we hear them.”.
