The Barns at Wolf Trap has announced their March program featuring Altan, Karl Scully, the Amazing Kreskin and Paula Cole.

Altan will play on Tuesday, March 6 at 8 p.m.

The Barns at Wolf Trap welcomes back Irish band Altan to perform tracks from its newest album, The Poison Glen (Gleann Nimhe). After 30 years together, their latest effort finds the band returning to the popular sounds of their earlier classic hits. The instrumental prowess of Ciaran Tourish on fiddle, Dermot Byrne on accordion, Mark Kelly on guitar, Ciarán Curran on bouzouki, and Daithi Sproule on guitar alternately shines on sets of sprightly jigs, driving reels and gorgeous airs. The set features Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh’s vocals.

Karl Scully will play on Thursday, March 8 at 8 p.m.

Karl Scully will make his debut appearance at The Barns at Wolf Trap. In both his solo efforts and past work as part of The Irish Tenors, Scully uses his diverse musical education, world travels, and poignant vocal talent to great effect in his performances. Scully has also acted alongside Ewan McGregor, portraying renowned tenor Count John McCormack in the 2000 film Nora.

The Amazing Kreskin will play on Friday, March 9 at 8 p.m.

The Amazing Kreskin returns to The Barns at Wolf Trap for a performance that features a combination of impressive deductive abilities, mind-bending illusions, comedic sensibility, and heavy audience participation.

Kreskin’s 2011 Prediction booklet is now available via his website. He has predicted major events throughout the past decade including the Yankee’s against-all-odds defeat at the 2001 World Series and has aided in a number of missing persons cases. He has authored multiple books and is currently hard at work on his memoirs.

Paula Cole will play on Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m.

In only her second time at Wolf Trap, songstress Paula Cole returns with tracks from her newest album, Ithaca, which chronicles her journey through divorce and battle to recover her own individual identify. Cole is best remembered for her ‘90s hits “Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?” and “I Don’t Want to Wait.” In 1997 Cole was nominated for seven GRAMMY awards, taking home the award for Best New Artist. She took a self-prescribed break from music following the birth of her daughter Sky in 2001.
