When Christmas rolls around each year, Santa Claus begins making appearances everywhere. At one time, the only chance children had to talk to Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas was by visiting him at one of the local shopping malls. Today, Santa's schedule has him showing up in a lot more places as the demand for his time has increased over the years.
One of the places Santa always makes time to visit is The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre. This year will be Santa's twelfth visit to the theatre for WOB's annual Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus). Over the last twelve years, this event has become the most popular at Way Off Broadway. Not only do children and their families have a chance to meet Santa, but Mrs. Claus and the elves also join the fun.
There will be two breakfasts for the 2014 Christmas season. The first will be on Sunday morning, December 21st beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the second on Christmas Eve morning, Wednesday, December 24th beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $18 per person. In the past, tickets have sold out within only a few weeks of going on sale.
"Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus) is the holiday event of the season, says Deb Kiska, Way Off Broadway's General Manager and the creator of the theatre's Breakfast Series, which also includes a yearly Princess Breakfast. "There's nothing like seeing the children's faces light up when Santa and Mrs. Claus appear. And as a mother and grandmother, I know how good I always felt when I saw my children having so much fun. So this breakfast isn't just for the kids. It's for the entire family."
Tickets may be purchased by calling the Box Office at (301) 662-6600. For additional information on Breakfast with Santa (and Mrs. Claus), or for details on Way Off Broadway's Christmas productions, It's Christmas and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, visit www.wayoffbroadway.com.
