Way Off Broadway Theater Presents THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, 10/30 & 31

The Frederick theatre scene will be rockin' this Halloween as Way Off Broadway and Stock•ing Productions team up to bring the cult classic The Rocky Horror Show to the stage for a special Halloween presentation. The limited engagement will have performances on Sunday, October 30th and Monday, October 31st.

The story unfolds while on the way to visit an old college professor, two clean cut young people, Brad Majors and his fiancée Janet Weiss, run into trouble and seek help at the freaky Frankenstein mansion. However, little did they know that the mansion is inhabited by alien transsexuals from the planet Transylvania and Dr. Frank N Furter is in the midst of one of his maniacal experiments.

The Rocky Horror Show was written by Richard O'Brien and first premiered in London in 1973 and went on to spin off a movie adaptation in 1975 starring Tim Curry as Frank N Furter, Susan Sarandon as Janet, and Barry Bostwick as Brad. Since then, O'Brien's show has become a cult phenomenon spurring productions on Broadway and around the globe.

The cast includes Jordan C. Allen as Riff Raf, Betsey Whitmore Brannen as the Narrator, Grace Flaherty as Janet, Alexandra Guyker as Dr. Scott and Eddie, Neil Rushnock as Brad, Jordan B. Stocksdale as Frank N Furter, Laura Walling as Columbia, Taylor Whidden as Magenta, Arthur J. Whittenburger as Rocky, and MerRick Jensen, Dalton Korrell, and Taryn Wood as the Phantoms.

The Rocky Horror Show has a book, music, and lyrics by Richard O'Brien and will be directed at Way Off Broadway by Jordan B. Stocksdale with choreography by Taylor Whidden. The production is produced by The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Stock•ing Productions.

The special engagement will be presented for only two performances. The first will be Sunday evening, October 30th at 8:00 p.m. with the second being on Monday evening, October 31st at 9:00 p.m. Tickets for the show are $25 per person for general admission seating or $30 for Premium Reserved seating and may be purchased by visiting the theatre in person, or calling the Box Office at (301) 662-6600.

Stock•ing Productions, under the direction of its Artistic Director, Jordan B. Stocksdale, is an independent theatre Production Company.
