Friday, July 18
3pm: Traditional Puerto Rican Folk Music and Dance - Los Hijos 'e Plena
Bomba and Plena musical styles bring Puerto Rico to Baltimore.
5pm: Dance from Spain - Arte Flamenco
Guitars, flashing feet, stirring rhythms and beautiful costumes typify the Flamenco tradition.
7pm: The Beatles in Dance - MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet
This D.C. company explores the music of the Beatles through the lens of dance.
Saturday, July 19
11am: Maryland: Where We Live - Dance Happens
The history of Maryland is portrayed in this dance presentation.
12 noon: World Dance - Aubergine Faeries
Join these talented performers in a multicultural celebration of music and dance.
2pm: Jazz Dance! - Dancin' Unlimited Jazz Dance Company
From New Orleans to Broadway, travel through the history of jazz dance with these gifted young artists.
4pm: Arabic and Turkish Music & Dance - Barakaat Dance Company & Saltanah Ensemble
Middle Eastern music and dance with an American twist.
6:30pm: Between Music and Movement - Full Circle Dance Company
This multi-ethnic professional ensemble premieres new choreography at Artscape.
Sunday, July 20
11am: The Adventure to the Imagi Nation - David London
A magical storytelling adventure for kids.
12:30pm: The Judy Finelli Story - Reverse Cascade
A circus performer's career is cut short by illness. How will she get back to the stage she loves?
2:30pm: Image Theatre Workshop - Liberated Muse Arts Group
Learn some Image Theatre techniques and then create some short pieces in this engaging workshop.
4:30pm: The Soda Jerk Sit-Ins - S. Ann Johnson Productions
A one-act play based on actual news stories about the Read's Drug Store sit-ins.
6:30pm: Magic Outside the Box - David London
Master Prestidigitator David London performs his cabaret magic show for Artscape audiences.
