The Strand Hosts Auditions for A Peppermint Patty Christmas 10/20

The Strand Theater is holding auditions for A Peppermint Patty Christmas by local playwright and lesbian activist Kate Bishop on Wednesday, October 20 from 7:30pm-9:30pm. The Strand Theater is located at 1823 N. Charles Street in Baltimore City. Please come prepared with a one minute monologue, comedic or dramatic, and prepared to read sides as requested by the director. Audition slots will be scheduled through Jayme Kilburn: jkilburn@strandtheatercompany.org . Walk-ins will be accommodated. Rehearsals will begin the week of October 24. Performances run December 2-18.

About the show: Patricia, a Polish girl from Dundalk, MD secretly lives with her African American, Muslim raised girlfriend, Marcie in their Brooklyn condo. Every year Patricia makes the trip home to Maryland to spend Christmas with her family, but this year she's brining girlfriend Marcie.

Patricia Bialecki: Late 20's, Polish girl from Dundalk, MD
Marcie Young: Late 20's, African-American, Patricia's girlfriend
Ted Bialecki: Mid 60's, Patricia's father
Rita Bialecki: Late 50's, Patricia's mother
Veronica "Ronnie" Bialecki: Early 30's, Patricia's sister
Sam Bialecki: 13-15, Ronnie's son
