The New England Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, October 3rd from 12-4 pm (rain date is Sunday, October 4) at the site of their future new school and presentation facility on1350 West Central Street, Route 140, in Franklin.
The public is welcome to enjoy games, contests, arts & crafts, music, raffles, prizes, food and entertainment in an autumn celebration of the Arts. Children can enjoy a moon bounce, playing "chuck-a-duck," making their own musical instruments, guessing jars, face painting, hair painting, scavenger hunts and so much more. The festivities begin at 12 noon and there is no charge for entry to the festival. Participants can purchase activity, food, and raffle tickets, all to benefit the fundraising efforts of the New England Center for the Performing Arts. Look for mouthwatering specialties from The Meat House of 365 West Central Street in Franklin a major sponsor of this event. On the menu will be Fresh Pressed Beef Burgers on a roll, Famous Old Neighborhood Hot Dogs on a roll, Meat House MarinaTed Wings and Meat House Marinated Chicken Breast. Whole Foods of Bellingham will host "make your own trail mix" to include some delectable healthy choices. At 2:00 pm, Franklin's own Jamie Barrett will lead the festival in a sing-a-long and other musical activities.
More than 200 families turned out last year for this autumn fundraising event. "We are so pleased that the site of our new facility can accommodate so many wonderful opportunities for families in our region to enjoy being together" comments Raye Lynn Mercer, Executive Director for the New England Center for the Performing arts. In August, the New England Center for the Performing Arts hosted "Field of Dreams Day" a fun-filled baseball themed event.
