The Milburn Stone Theatre of North East, Maryland, winner of Best Theatre in the 2013 Broadway World Baltimore awards opens the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical, NEXT TO NORMAL by Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt (the creative team behind this broadway seasons IF/THEN) on April 25th, 2014.

NEXT TO NORMAL, is directed by MST Producing Artistic Director, S. Lee Lewis and features musical direction by Shane Jensen stars Lauren Spencer-Harris as Diana, the sexy, sharp and delusional bipolar depressive mother of the Goodman family, made famous by Alice Ripley on Broadway. Spencer-Harris has previously been seen on stage at MST as Miss. Gardner in CARRIE THE MUSICAL and Sally Bowles in CABARET.

NEXT TO NORMAL also features MST favorites Andrew John Mitchell (9 to 5 THE MUSICAL, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST) as Dan, Chandler Smith (SPRING AWAKENING, 1776) as Gabe, and features the MST debuts of Darby Elizabeth McLaughlin as Natalie, Noah Mogaka as Henry and Kevin Ray Johnson as Dr. Fine / Dr. Madden.

NEXT TO NORMAL opens Friday, April 25th, 2014 and runs till Sunday, May 4th, 2014.
