Twenty years ago on this day, April 3, 1993, one hundred and six ticket holders crammed into the Olde Town Tavern back room for the very first Comedy Pigs show! The Comedy Pigs, Maryland Ensemble Theatre'ssketch and improv troupe, is still going strong all these years later. After twenty years they think they've finally got the hang of it but you can be the judge at their next shows on April 13 and 20 at 10:30pm. The April shows will follow the main stage show,
Finally Heard: Feminine Heroes of an Uncivil War. This will be troupe members Carly Ball, Gary Baker, Courtney McLaughlin, Chris "C-Mo" Molloy, Anne Raugh, Franky Russell, Jeff Schnorr, Laura Stark and
Julie Williams only two performances in April.
Since the Comedy Pigs debuted in 1993, they have performed in nationwide improv festivals, been featured on Comedy Central and have also been guests at the
National Pork Producers Convention. The 20th Anniversary season wraps up with three shows in May (3, 4, 25) and two shows in June (14 & 15).
Regular ticket prices are $13.50 (includes a $1.50 service fee) and may be purchased at the MET box office in person, by phone
(301) 694-4744, or online at
