Audiences continued what has become a summer tradition by attending Chesapeake Shakespeare Company-in-the-Ruins, driving attendance up an entire 10% from last summer. And despite the troubled economy, ticket revenues increased 13% over the previous summer's revenues, giving CSC its most successful summer to date.Chesapeake Shakespeare Company-in-the-Ruins' summer season included the swashbuckling romance Cyrano de Bergerac and Shakespeare's greatest comedy Twelfth Night. Both productions were presented under the stars at the ruins of the Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park in Ellicott City, Maryland.
