Temple of Improv! (Toi!) presents Hump Night!, a night of Chicago-style long-form comedy improvisation every Wednesday at 7pm at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET). Tickets are $5 (no reservations) and can be purchased an hour before each performance at MET located at 31 W. Patrick Street, in the historic FSK Hotel.

Hump Night! will be hosted by a few Toi! regulars (Joe Brady, Matt Kline, Giovanni Kavota) and features an ever changing cast of improvisers from Baltimore, Washington, Frederick and beyond! Many of the performers have experience at iO, Chicago; UCB, New York; and WIT in DC. Temple of Improv (Toi!) was founded in Baltimore by Joe Brady in the summer of 2011 and is the first of many projects that Big Blue Umbrella (see below) will be producing. Toi! has been performing Baltimondo!, Hump Night! and That Friday Night Thing! for the last four years in The Lou Costello Room at Zissimos' Pub in Hampden, Baltimore.

Brady is a graduate of the training programs at Second City, iO (formerly Improv Olympic) and The Annoyance in Chicago; as well as UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) in New York. At iO, Joe was a performer on several house teams, co-founded and performed with Blue Highway and won a Del Award for his work with the ensemble in The Placebo Effect. Brady is currently a Professor and the Director-Producer of Hood College Theatre at Hood College in Frederick, Md. In addition to Toi!, Brady also co-founded and performed with The Flying Tongues, a comedyslashimprov troupe that performed regularly in Baltimore and toured the country in the 1990s.

Big Blue Umbrella is a not-for-profit umbrella organization dedicated to the creation, incubation and production of original works for theatre and film; to improvisation; and to re-envisioning and producing classic plays. Big Blue Umbrella is an inclusive organization that creates the space for cross-pollination between artists from various disciplines and backgrounds in an atmosphere that is fun, nurturing, inspiring and diverse.
