The Berenstain Bears on Stage! will have a limited run of only four performances - October 13th, 14th, 20th, and 27th.

Over the years, Way Off Broadway has introduced a countless number of children to live theatre with its productions of classic fairytales and musicals filled with some of the most popular children's characters of today. Even characters from the Disney vault have made their home at Way Off Broadway. This fall, the fuzzy forest family created by Stan and Jan Berenstain will sing and dance their way across the WOB stage once again.

Five classic Berenstain Bear stories come to life on the stage, as told by "the world's foremost expert on the Berenstain Bears," the guitar-strumming Cowboy Joe. The audience will follow Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Brother Bear, and Sister Bear on their adventures in The Berenstain Bears' New Baby, The Berenstain Bears and the Messy Room, The Berenstain Bears and the Double Dare, The Berenstain Bears Tell the Truth, and The Berenstain Bears Get Stage Fright. Five great stories all in one live stage play!

Way Off Broadway's production of The Berenstain Bears features Jordan B. Stocksdale as Papa Bear, Tori Weaver as Mama Bear, Laura Walling as Brother Bear, Megan E. West as Sister Bear, and Betsey Brannen as Teacher Jane, with Bill Kiska as Cowboy Joe. Stocksdale, Weaver, and Kiska will all be reprising their roles from the theatre's 2015 production.

The Berenstain Bears first debuted in The Big Honey Hunt in 1962. Since then, the children's book series has grown to include over 300 stories, which have sold over 260 million copies. After more than 50 years in print, the Berenstain Bears are still considered one of the most popular set of characters in children's literature.

The stage show has a book and lyrics by Stan and Jan Berenstain, with music by Elliot Lawrence and Jamie Broza, and direction by Jordan B. Stocksdale.
