Stoop Storytelling Series Kicks Off 7th Season with BELIEVE IT OR NOT, 10/01

The Stoop Storytelling Series, the hottest ticket in Baltimore, kicks off its 7th season on October 1st with "BELIEVE IT OR NOT: STORIES ABOUT FINDING AND LOSING FAITH."

Stories included in the series are personal tales from a former Scientologist, a man who underwent exorcism to cast AIDS out of his body, and a man who joined the Black Muslims after witnessing horrors during the Civil Rights movement, and the lone member of the Jew-niversalist sect, among others. It promises to be an amazing show. 

Shows for the season include October 1st - BELIEVE IT OR NOT: STORIES ABOUT FINDING AND LOSING FAITH. With musical guest Letitia Van Sant. December 10th HOLIDRAMA!!!: STORIES ABOUT HOLIDAY HIGHS AND LOWS.  February 4th - PARENTHOOD: STORIES ABOUT BIRTHING, fINDING, RAISING (and SURVIVING!) CHILDREN. March 18th - JUSTICE TALKING: STORIES ABOUT CRIME, PUNISHMENT, AND LIFE (and DEATH) IN THE LEGAL SYSTEM. May 20th - EUREKA! STORIES ABOUT DISCOVERIES, BREAKTHROUGHS, AND BRAVE NEW WORLDS.

All shows are Mondays at Center Stage, 700 N. Calvert Street, 21201.

And, new this season: FALL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP: Storytelling is a powerful tool of discovery, so come discover with the Workshop! Participants will learn the basics of true, personal storytelling and have a chance to tell their own stories and get feedback. No experience required—-just an open mind. Space is limited, so please register in advance.

The workshop will be on Sunday, Oct. 28th, 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Bolton Street Synagogue

Also, check out the SECOND STOOP: The ALL-AUDIENCE Show: Stoop shows loves the three-minute audience stories so much that they are devoting an evening to them. Join them for SECOND STOOP: THE AUDIENCE SHOW. The theme is "My Secret Weapon: Talents, flairs, and skills no one knows about." The show will happen on Thursday, Nov. 8.
