Spotlighters Theatre announces - Auditions for PARTITION by Ira Hauptman directed by John Sadowsky Tuesday, November 11, 2009 - 7:30pm Wednesday, November 12, 2009 - 7:30pm
Spotlighters Theater, 817 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21202, This play is a drama about the relationship between the mathematicians G. H. Hardy and S. Ramanujan in Cambridgein the early twentieth century.The role of Billington has been cast.The roles that are open are:
G. H. Hardy (male, mid 30's to 40's, athletic. Requires a British, R.P. accent)
S. Ramanujan (male, mid 20's, South Asian. Requires a Southern Indian accent)
Namagiri (female, ageless, beautiful---a Hindu goddess, literally. Requires a Southern Indian accent)
Pierre de Fermat (male, 50's or so. Requires a French accent)
All of the mortals in the play are based on historic characters.Auditions require a monologue (roughly 2 minutes, any type) and will include cold readings from the script.
