Pumpkin Theatre has announced its 45th Anniversary Season. Five, four, and three Play Subscriptions available online, as well as individual tickets, by visiting www.pumpkintheatre.com or calling 410-828-1814, Monday through Friday, 11 to 3pm. 

September 15 & 16, 22 & 23

How I Became a Pirate - The story of young Jeremy Jacob, who, one day while digging in the sand at North Beach is greeted by Captain Braid Beard and his mates, and is recruited to help find the perfect digging spot for their treasure. A musical story of adventure and finding one's own heart - a path that can't be found on any treasure map! 
  

December 8 & 9, 15 & 16

Beauty & the Beast - A tribute to Pumpkin Theatre’s 45th Season and its founder Sister Kathleen Marie Engers. This interactive play is done in the style that first made Pumpkin Theatre so popular. Good for the entire family, but targeted to serve our youngest patrons, this classic tale of redemption will be a family fun day you’ll remember for a very long time. Come see how Beauty tames the Beast to become her Prince.
  

January 26 & 27, February 2 & 3

Quest of the ZIZ Bird – A NEW PLAY! Written by Pumpkin Theatre Producing Artistic Director, Jimi Kinstle with music by Ryan Michael Haase and based on the children’s book The Hardest Word, by Jacqueline Jules, The ZIZ is a giant mythological bird (ours will be a puppet!) that one day accidently destroys the community garden of the children. A misfit himself, how will the Ziz make things better and find a way to ‘fit in’? 
  

March 16 & 17, 23 & 24

Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz – Follow the yellow brick road to Pumpkin Theatre for this classic tale of Dorothy and her adventures in the land of Oz with her new friends the Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man. 
  

May 11 & 12, 18 & 19

Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse - Based on the children’s book series by Kevin Henkes, this story is about a mouse named Lilly who loves everything about school, especially her cool teacher, Mr. Slinger. But when Lilly brings her purple plastic purse and its treasures to school and can't wait until sharing time, Mr. Slinger confiscates her prized possession. Lilly's fury leads to revenge and then to remorse and she sets out to make amends.
