This summer, Teatro101 proudly presents Side Show, the rarely producedBroadway cult musical about the famous Hilton Siamese twins. The "freak show" opens August12 th and runs through September 4, 2010.
With music by Henry Krieger and book/lyrics by Bill Russell, Side Show is based on the truestory of Siamese twins Violet and Daisy Hilton. The story is a moving portrait of two womenjoined at the hip who became stars during the depression era of the 1930s, finding love, fame, and even disappointment along the way.
The original Broadway production, featuring Alice Ripleyand Emily Skinner, was nominated for four Tony Awards and includes now Broadway classics like "I Will Never Leave You", "Who Will Love Me As I Am", and "You Should Be Loved". In true Teatro101 style and fashion, you'll experience the grandeur of a large-scale musicaladapted to a small and intimate space.
