Onyi Okoli is proud to present her one-woman show Charmed, I'm Sure! at The Strand Theatre starting with an Opening Night Gala March 26th at 8:00pm playing every Friday and Saturday until the final show on April 10th.

Inspired by Danny Hoch, the founder of Hip Hop Theatre in New York, Onyi set out to write and perform her own theater at the end of her sophomore year in college. Previously, she was a double major at the University of Southern California studying philosophy and communication. She switched her major to theater after much advice from colleagues and theater professors. Since then she has written and performed many works at the University of Southern California including Charmed, I'm Sure! Her latest production of Charmed, I'm Sure! at The Strand Theater will be the first production she will produce outside of college. Although she did not fall in love with theater until her sophomore year in college, Onyi hopes that through her works the inner city youths and young adults of Baltimore will get to know theater as she knows it now.

Charmed, I'm Sure! is a one-woman play written and performed by Onyi Okoli. Everyone has a story, and Onyi plans to tell hers! In her one woman play, this Baltimore native reveals all about her life growing up in Charm City. From attempting to capture her first boyfriend to nearly being evicted from her apartment, she has a story that everyone can relate to and wisdom that everyone can gain from. Follow her outrageous schemes and the equally outrageous consequences as she goes from living in Baltimore to living the college life in Los Angeles. It's a Laugh out Loud Comedy that'll leave you...Charmed, I'm Sure!

The Opening Night Gala of Charmed, I'm Sure! will take place at the Strand Theater Friday, March 26th at 7pm. Come mingle with other patrons and enjoy free refreshments before the show. After the performance, there will be a short Q & A with the artist. Tickets for the Opening Night Gala are the same price for any other night: $10 (presale) & $15 (at the door).

The Strand Theater is located at 1823 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.

Pre-sale tickets are $10 and can be reserved by phone or purchased online. Contact the Strand Theater Company at (443) 874-4917 or visit www.CharmedImSurehitsthestage.com to purchase tickets.

Tickets at the door are $15.

About the Theater: The Strand Theater is a community theater dedicated to providing opportunities for women artists, writers, designers and directors. The New York State Council on the Arts conducted a study on women in theater and found that in 2002 only 17% of plays produced in America were by women. Women only represented 16% of directors. With a focus on producing original works, the Strand hopes to foster a love of theater for a new generation of patrons.
