Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) MET-X series continues with the return of its surreal sci-fi comedy series "Laugh Station: Election" Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9, 9 p.m at 31 West Patrick Street in Frederick, MD.
Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is thrilled to present another installment of the Laugh Station series in this summer's uproarious "Laugh Station: Election". The intrepid and inebriated crew of Laugh Station are about to embark on their most absurd (and timely) mission yet: politics. As the candidates for President of the Future enter a battle royale style fight to the death, our heroes find themselves on the front line of a full scale galactic showdown. With brainwashed assassins and robot terrorists thrown into the mix, this is going to one ugly race. The eleventh installment of the Laugh Station series guarantees to be the bloodiest, druggiest, and raunchiest yet! "Laugh Station: Election" is intended for mature audiences.
Laugh Station is a series of surreal, sci-fi/horror/comedy episodes that began at MET in 2012 with "Laugh Station: Infinity" and the creative minds behind the project went on to produce "Laugh Station: Rogue", "Laugh Station: Papaya", and "Laugh Station: Cuerpo" to name a few. "Election," like the previous plays in the series will be co-written and directed by MET company member Matt Lee. Co-writer Jack Colliver will star alongside the talents of Brian Artusio, Lisa Burl, Karli Cole, Kevin Cole, Joe Colliver, Clay Comer, Joe Jalette, Eric Jones, Caitlyn Joy, Matt Lee, Trevor Marin, Colin Shultzaberger, and Bailey Sterling. The show will feature original music by Joe Colliver, Mac Kennedy and Trevor Marin.
Maryland Ensemble Theatre will present "Laugh Station: Election" as part of its MET-X series, created to expand collective horizons of the MET ensemble and its audience. Performances are Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9, 9 p.m. at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick St. Frederick) located in the historic FSK Hotel. Tickets are $12 (Includes all ticketing fees) and may be purchased by phone at (301) 694-4744, online at marylandensemble.org, or in person at the MET box office.
Now in its eighteenth season, Maryland Ensemble Theatre produces thought-provoking theatre, fun family entertainment, artist residency programs for public schools, theatre camps, challenging classes, and side-splitting comedy.
