Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) proudly presents DC Cathro's world premiere production of Family Holiday as its 2016-2017 Holiday production. Family Holiday, a world première production, is not your straight-laced holiday fare. RJ goes home for the holidays, hoping to have a nice, relaxing time with his family and best friend. Things don't turn out as he expects when he arrives to find his sister newly single, his Nana on a health kick, his mother dashing in and out and his father nervous about all of the strange behavior. Secrets are revealed and RJ is stuck in the middle of this fast-paced holiday farce for modern times.
The show is written by Frederick area writer and original MET company member DC Cathro. The cast is lead by company members Lia Seltzer and Tim Seltzer(married on and off-stage!), Thom Huenger, Amanda Spellman, and Steve Custer along with Nancy Jones as Nana. The production includes veteran designers Allison Duvall (set), Cody Gilliam (costumes), Doug Grove (lights) and Ken Poisson (sound) and Rona Mensah (props). Kevin Cole is stage-managing and Caitlyn Joy is assistant stage manager.
