Les Miz Tour Takes Final Bow in St. Louis

The North American tour cast of Les Miserables will sing "One Day More" one last time at their final engagement in St. Louis at the Fox Theatre, July 18-23.

Announced by producer Cameron Mackintosh, St. Louis will be the tour's last stop after 521 engagements in 121 cities after 18 years – thus heralding in the show's limited Broadway revival at the Broadhurst Theatre this November.

The North American tour of "the world's most popular musical" by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg opened in Tampa, FL Nov. 28, 1988 and has since visited St. Louis nine times.

Single tickets go on sale May 21 at 11:00am. Group discounts (20 or more people) are already available by calling 314-535-2900. 

Les Miserables, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, opened in London in 1985 and celebrated its 20th Anniversary at the Queen's Theatre on Oct. 8, 2005.  It later opened on Broadway March 12, 1987. Les Miserables played a total of 6680 shows, making it currently the third longest running show on Broadway, before closing at the Imperial Theatre May 18, 2003. 

As of January 24, 2006 the final touring cast includes Randal Keith (Jean Valjean), Robert Hunt (Javert), Joan Alemdilla (Fantine), Adam Jacobs (Marius), Victor Wallace (Enjolras), Melissa Lyons (Eponine), Leslie Henstock (Cosette), Fabio Polanco (Thenardier), Jennifer Butt (Madame Thenardier).
