The Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) welcomes three community leaders to its Board of Directors. Robert Altieri, Jordana Guzman, and Dami T. Soh join a dynamic group led by Board President Raymond (Buzz) Bartlett, RVB Consulting.

In welcoming the new members, Bartlett said, "The Arts Council's stature as a model multi-purpose arts agency and advocate for the arts is due, in large part, to strong governance. As President of the Board, I look forward to working with the new and existing Board members to foster the arts and connect people with the arts. "

The new members bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the Arts Council Board:

Robert Altieri | Howard Bank

Robert Altieri currently serves as Executive Vice President of the Bancorp and Executive Vice President, President of the Mortgage Division and Chief Specialty Lending Officer of Howard Bank. He is also very active in the community through various organizations. He currently serves as a Director for Junior Achievement and was recently appointed to the Maryland Home Improvement Commission. Mr. Altieri is a past director of the House of Good Sheppard, Howard Hospital Foundation, Independent College Fund (IFUND) and HC Drug Free plus numerous other non-profit organizations. He has over 31 years of experience in the commercial banking industry.

Jordana Guzman | Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny

Jordana Guzman recently join the Estate Planning, Elder Law and Probate & Trust Administration practice groups at Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny where she creates estate plans for individuals and also works with families after the passing of a loved one. She entered the field of estate planning because she truly enjoys being able to sit down with a client to discuss their hopes for their family and their future, and to work with them to create estate plans personalized to their needs. In her free time, Ms Guzman enjoys drawing and working with animals.

Dami T. Soh | Korean Performing Arts Academy of America

Dami T. Soh was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Maryland from the age of 5. Her two passions in life are music and helping others. A classically trained cellist, Ms. Soh has been teaching private cello lessons for over 10 years and performs regularly with the Columbia Orchestra. She recently spent 3 years advancing her music education in South Korea, receiving a Masters degree in Korean Musicology from the prestigious Seoul National University. Upon her return home, she joined the Korean Performing Arts Academy of America where she teaches and performs Traditional Korean drums. Ms. Soh is bilingual and uses her deep understanding of the Korean and American cultures as a mediator and community liaison for the Korean American Seniors Association of Howard County.

The Arts Council's Board of Directors is a volunteer governing Board that is legally and fiscally responsible for the organization. The Board hires the Executive Director, makes strategic decisions, and sets policy to ensure programs and operations are consistent with the Arts Council's mission. The new Board members join the Arts Council at an exciting time with a new season of programming and the kick-off for the annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County fundraising campaign just underway.
