On Saturday, December 8th, Everyman Theatre will be hosting a "Wrap Party" to say good-bye to its home of 18 years on Charles Street. The theatre company will be inviting subscribers, volunteers, board members, and more to visit the Charles Street location for one final time before the new location on Fayette Street officially opens to the public in January, 2013. The Open House-style party will occur from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The Wrap Party will occur after the final show on Charles Street, Heroes, has closed. The administrative staff will also have moved out prior to the party. The Open House will allow guests access into parts of the theatre that were previously unavailable to the public. Guests will be able to explore the set of Heroes, take a glimpse into the dressing rooms, and visit backstage.
The theatre will be decorated with photos and memorabilia from the theatre company's 22-year history. Light hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be available for guests as they mingle with staff and resident company members.
"Charles Street has been our home for 18 years now," said Founding Artistic Director Vincent Lancisi. "Before we move to our brand new home downtown on Fayette Street, I think it's only fitting to invite our most devoted patrons, board members, and friends to bid adieu to a place that has created such fond memories for so many years."
The new Everyman Theatre on Fayette Street will officially open its doors to the public during its Grand Opening Week in January, 2013. Grand Opening events and celebrations are planned for the week of January 14 – January 20, 2013. The company's inaugural production on Fayette Street will be the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning drama, August: Osage County.
The Wrap Party is open to the public. Guests must RSVP in advance to events@everymantheatre.org or by calling the box office at 410.752.2208. There is a suggested donation of $25 per person at the door (all donation amounts are welcome).
