La Cage Aux Folles made Tony Award history by becoming the first show to ever win the award three times for best production (1984, 2005 and 2010). The classic comedy by Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein tells the story of a glitzy nightclub in Saint-Tropez owned by Georges; and which features his life partner, Albin, as the glamorous chanteuse Zaza. Georges' son invites his fiancée's conservative parents to meet the "family". When his birth mother backs out of the gathering, it is Zaza to the rescue. The bonds of love and the true meaning of family are put the test. The comedy ensues as the boa feathers fly and truths are revealed.
