About Improbable Comedy
Improbable Comedy produces live stand-up comedy shows and is the labor of love of social worker turned comedy entrepreneur Kim Levone. This adventure began with shows in DC in 2011-12 (headliners Aparna Nancherla, Jeff Maurer and Chris Coccia), continued with her 2016 show during the Rio Olympics, Brazil 101: Comedy for Gringos, and returns now to Kim's beloved Silver Spring with this monthly show at Denizens. The common thread is a line-up of the funniest, most entertaining performers who have something original to say and who will deliver an amazing show for every audience.
About Denizens
Owners Emily Bruno, Jeff Ramirez, and Julie Verratti launched Denizens Brewing Co in 2014 to bring the camaraderie of the brewery taproom to the DMV. Emily and Julie - locals and recovering office dwellers - joined forces with their brother-in-law Jeff, a veteran of the CO and PA beer scenes, to create a space where anyone could pull up a chair, grab a pint, and enjoy. Denizens is the only woman and minority owned and operated brewery in Maryland and a proud member of the Silver Spring community.
