The Dee Buchanan Studio of Dance and Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre and Children's Theatre will present a free concert A Magical Musical Adventure on Sunday, July 20 at 7 pm, on the Knight Stage at Middletown High School. Forty-one local dancers ranging in age from 3 to 18 will perform together to raise money for Team Sydni. The concert features many of well-loved fairy tale characters, and includes a variety of song-and-dance styles. There is no charge for admission. Free-will donations will be accepted at the door, and during intermission the dancers' parents have organized a basket raffle, which includes donations from many Middletown merchants in an effort to further help Sydni. This is the second annual summer production of the Dee Buchanan Studio and Way Off Broadway. Last year's concert raised over $2,600 to help another local student, TJ Rufty.
Sydni Jankowski was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2013, and she has moved through several phases of chemotherapy. She has just learned that she is a candidate for surgery to help her hips, which are damaged as a result of Avascular Necrosis. Sydni's family will have additional medical expenses for some time, and this benefit hopes to help this Sunday evening! 100% of donations collected will go to Team Sydni.
