Cockpit In Court Summer Theatre kicks off its Forty-Fifth season with a 1950s flair. For eight performances only June 10-25, Cockpit will present its first musical Forever Plaid.

This story of a clean-cut "guy singing group" will make you laugh and cheer for them as they attempt to perform the concert they never got to do in real life.

Individual tickets are $17 adults, $15 senior adults, students and Children 12 & under.

Forever Plaid is a musical tribute about an up and coming boy band of the 1950s. The story is about four high-school chums who had a dream of becoming as big as The Four Aces, The Four Freshmen, or even The Beatles. However, their dreams were crushed when they died in an accident on the way to perform their first big concert. Now, present day, they are transported back on stage to give the performance of a lifetime. Stranded on stage with faded memories and old song charts, can they pull of a hit show and fulfill their life's dream?

The show is not only funny, with touching characters, but is packed with great songs and harmony. The show features songs such as "Three Coins in the Fountain", "Undecided", "Crazy 'bout Ya, Baby", "Moments to Remember", "Gotta Be This or That", "No, Not Much", "Sixteen Tons", "Chain Gang", "Perfidia", "Cry", "Heart and Soul", "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing", and a three minute tribute to The Ed Sullivan Show, during "Lady of Spain", where the cast acts out some of the most memorable moments featured on the show.

The cast consists of Ryan Slattery (Sparky), Josh Schoff (Francis), Zachary Miller as Smudge and Connor Moore as Jinx. Directed by James Hunnicutt, and Musical Direction by Patty Delisle.

Show times are 8 p.m. Friday/Saturday and 3 p.m. Sundays, in the Cabaret Theatre CCBC Essex 7201 Rossville Boulevard. For tickets and information, call 443-840-2787.
