"Alice in Wonderland, Jr." is based on Disney's animated film adaptation of the classic Lewis Carroll story. David Simpatico did the book adaptation and additional lyrics and Bryan Louiselle adapted and arranged the music. While studying in the park with her older sister, Alice begins to daydreams about following a talking White Rabbit down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. Her ensuing adventure includes trying to get directions from a disappearing Cheshire Cat, joining a wild tea party with the Mad Hatter and friends, dancing with a Dodo, trading rhymes with twins Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and playing crochet with the Queen of Hearts, where she almost loses her head. Disney's animated film featured tunes as "The Un-birthday Song, "I'm Late" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah".
