Chesapeake Shakespeare Company to Host the Globe's Patrick Spottiswoode, 10/22

On October 22, the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company will welcome Patrick Spottiswoode, Director of Education at Shakespeare's Globe in London for a talk and discussion prior to the 8pm performance of JULIUS CAESAR.

Patrick Spottiswoode has been with the Globe since 1984 when he joined as its first employee and is the current Director of Education. His expertise of Shakespeare performance and education is sought out by theatre professionals and scholars all over the world. Al Pacino featured Patrick in his film, Looking for Richard, a documentary about rehearsing Shakespeare's Richard III. Patrick is known for his passionate, intelligent, and accessible understanding of Shakespeare and a sense of humor and charm that make him a pleasure to hear.

Patrick's pre-show discussion, Making Space for Shakespeare, will begin at 7pm on the grounds of the PFI Historic Park. Admission to the discussion is free and open to the public.
